13 stunning Ferraris expected to fetch £14 million – here’s what’s up for grabs
Imagine waking up in the morning, going out to the garage and being able to take your pick from 13 exceptional and very rare Ferraris.
Well, if you have a spare £14 million you could just live that dream, as 13 of Maranello’s finest go under the hammer at Sotheby’s auction in Monterey, California, next month.
These aren’t just any old Ferraris though; one particular car stands out a country mile – a 1961 250 GT SWB Berlinetta. Estimated to fetch as much as £10 million, it could be one of the 50 most expensive Ferraris ever sold at auction.
Another absolute gem on offer is an American spec F40. Built in 1991 this was going into the final production run and is one of just 215 ever exported to the USA. Add in the fact it has only covered 2,800 miles and you have am ultra rare Ferrari. Price? Expect to pay more than £1.5 million.
Other rarities include a 1967 275 GTB/4 estimated to sell for £2.5 million, a 2011 599 GTO with just 481 miles on the clock priced at £787,000 and an immaculate 1989 328 GTS with only 8,500 miles on the clock estimated to sell for a more ‘affordable’ £90,000.
All 13 will go under the hammer between August 18 and 19, with almost all of them being sold without a reserve.
So if you fancy owning one of these cracking classics then you’d better start playing the National Lottery, or maybe it’s time to cash in your pension.
