Aston Martin Yacht On Its Way, Will Make DB9 Look Practically Attainable
What does every Aston Martin buyer really need next? That’s right – an accompanying yacht.
The British supercar marque has got into bed with the Dutch-based firms Quintessence Yachts and Mulder Design to give
berth birth to the AM37 powerboat – so named because it will be 37ft long.
The idea – if you hadn’t guessed – is to create a fast, elegant boat that has a sporty character and exclusive design, and there’ll be two versions. The sportier model – the AM37 S – will be capable of up to 52 knots (for any landlubbers out there that’s very nearly 60 mph), while the more luxurious AM37 – billed as a “gran turismo” – will reach about 44 knots (50.6mph), says Quintessence.
We’ve only got digital images at the moment to tantalise us and there’s not even a whisper of the price, but we understand there will be a full unveiling at the Monaco Yacht Show in September, with construction taking place in the UK – possibly not too far from SuperUnleaded Towers.
Likely customers are apparently being given fuller details on a private and hush-hush basis.
Guess we’ll just have to content ourselves for now with this stirring promotional video. It’s got crashing waves and lava (lava?) and EVERYTHING!
