‘Badly Parked’ Car Shifted By Forklift Truck
We’ve seen some bad parking in our time, especially these two examples below…
But this one is slightly inconclusive.
A car in Glasgow was shifted by a forklift just to move it one place further up the road.
Staff at Photoframe Ltd moved the Mitsubishi Outlander from its perfectly legal space in front of their shop with the truck. The SUV had apparently been outside the Kilbirnie Street store for five weeks and was blocking deliveries.
The footage was posted to the website Scotland’s Worst Drivers and shows the forklift moving the SUV across one space. But an AA spokesman said:
The business shouldn’t have taken the law into their own hands and should’ve contacted the local authority. Lifting a vehicle in this way can cause major damage to the underside of the vehicle. Cars are designed to be lifted only by their jacking points and this clearly wasn’t the case. Brake pipes, exhaust pipes and fuel lines could all have been damaged or broken.
We’re not convinced the SUV owner had parked badly but you can check out the full video below and have your say in the comments section.
