The Z4 is back, and boy does it look good.

We’ve been waiting a long time to see the fruits of the sports car collaboration between BMW and Toyota, and now the former has blinked first by revealing a preview concept of its side of things.

The Concept Z4 is designed to show off the design language we can expect from the production version, and aside from a few concepty flourishes like the sharp creases in the door and impracticably slim wing mirrors, it looks pretty close to the finished product.

BMW says that the proportions mean that the driver sits closer to the centre of the car than in any of its previous roadsters, while the wrap-around dashboard should give “a very sporty sensation”.

We’ll get to see the finished product at the Geneva motor show in March, and if it looks half as good as this concept we’ll be very happy indeed.
