Ferrari Goes To Auction In New York, Sells For Inconceivable Amount Of Money

How much would you pay for a decent car? £1,000? £5,000? Maybe even £20,000? Well, someone in New York has just paid £18.5m. For one car.
To be fair, it is a pretty amazing piece of metal. It’s a 1956 Ferrari 290MM – a race car made specifically for legendary racing driver Juan Manuel Fangio.
We’ll be honest, it does look pretty special. It’s powered by a 3.5-litre V12, which no doubt makes one hell of a racket. Plus, it’s got probably the best-looking paint job on a car that we’ve seen in a long while.
You could’ve bought a fair few houses for the $28m it went for at RM Sotheby’s, but who cares? When you’ve got a part of racing pedigree, who needs somewhere to sleep? Stay overnight in your multi-million-pound, V12-powered, bright red bedroom.
Pssst!
