Four Of Our Favourite Porsche Cayman GT4 Road Tests

Porsche has taken want to a whole new level with the launch of its Cayman GT4.
With a 3.8-litre flat-six engine, producing 380bhp, it can hit 60mph in 4.4 seconds and a top speed of 183mph. Woah.
Porsche says the car shares components and a “genetic spirit” (whatever that means) with the iconic 911 GT3. It even managed to lap the Nurburgring in 7min 40s. That’s a bit good.
While we haven’t been lucky enough to get a ride in the alcantara and leather plastered car just yet, many interneters have. Here’s some of their best bits.
#1 Evo
Our favourite car magazine has already published its GT4 review with helmsman extraordinaire Dickie “Sideways” Meaden behind the wheel. Cue lots of tyre smoke and a review that declares the Porsche “the car we always wanted from the Cayman”.
#2 Chris Harris on Cars
In his latest instalment for his YouTube files, Chris Harris takes the GT4 for a spin on the Portimao circuit in the Algarve. An energetic piece which contains vigorous gear-stick thrusting and a trip to the garage, Harris sums up the Cayman as “a very special machine”.
#3 Autocar
“It’s worth every penny at £65,000, if you are fortunate enough to have ordered one. It is just going to blow your mind.”
Autocar’s road tester Matt Prior is back and in the driving seat in the GT4, and loving it. A mash-up between the track and rural Portugal, a massive slide is never far away.
#4 Gommeblog.it
A different look at the Cayman GT4, Gommeblog entices us into the power of Porsche by embarking on a track test, and displaying the velocity of the 3.8-litre flat-six engine. No commentary, but the end product looks fantastic.
Pssst!
