This Is What It Looks Like When The Military Drops Humvees From A Plane
Military operations need to be organised in a careful and precise manner, and this one profiled in a recent video is quite amazing.
The Humvee has been an important vehicle for American military operations throughout the world since 1984, may that be in conflict or as a humanitarian support, so they need to be deployed into various places quickly and efficiently.
In the latest video by AiirSource Military, we see just how the US Armed Forces get their multifunctional off-roader into combat by tagging along with a training exercise.
Flying in a C-17 Globemaster III transport plane, the Humvees are all packed up with cushioning material, i.e. corrugated cardboard, and then sent flying out the back door. For a $220,000 vehicle, that seems like quite rough handling.
The coordination is excellent as all the vehicles leave the back of the plane without mishap, and all land (from what we can see) without a hitch.
What a great display of synchronisation and coordinated movement!
Check out the full video of the training exercise below.
