Lamborghini Aventador is turned into the world’s most expensive racing sim

Using a real car to control a racing game isn’t a new thing.

If you use a time machine to visit a handful of Japanese arcades in 1993, you’ll find Namco’s Ridge Racer playable from behind the wheel of a real Mazda Eunos Roadster.

That entire set-up cost operators the equivalent of £150,000 back in the day — rather paling in comparison to this Lamborghini Aventador-based effort.

Known as POG across social media, the hypercar owner drove to collect a copy of Forza Motorsport 7 in the £270,000 machine before connecting it to an Xbox One to control its virtual rendition.

We’re not quite sure how it all works, but the final result is pretty special to watch. We’ll try to hide our jealousy behind our standard gamepads…
