Motorway Motorcyclist Caught Doing 148mph With Pillion

A motorcyclist was caught travelling at speeds up to 148mph on the M11 with a pillion passenger.

Rider Paul Roberts’ top speed is believed to be the highest any biker has been caught with a passenger on board.

He was caught on camera by PC Paul Hills, from Essex Police, who was part of a motorcycle safety operation on the motorway. Take a look at the shocking footage below.

The nail-biting video shows Roberts, 43, of Malkin Drive Lane, Harlow, weaving between other road users at speeds of more than 100mph. He is even seen crossing all three lanes in an attempt to overtake faster.

Roberts runs a taxi firm in London and was riding to work on his Kawasaki ZZR 1400 with his friend on September 12, 2014. He received a 15 month ban when he appeared in court yesterday, March 30, and admitted the offence.

He was also ordered to do undertake 120 hours community service and to pay £460 costs, as well as having to take an extended re-test.
