NASCAR Race Is Red-Flagged After Mega Pile-Up
It’s fair to say that NASCAR hasn’t really caught on this side of the pond, but that doesn’t mean we Brits can’t appreciate a huge NASCAR crash.
And that’s exactly what happened at the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Talladega Speedway on Sunday, when A.J. Allmendinger wiped out in dramatic fashion.
His No. 47 car clipped the back of Chase Elliott’s No. 24 car on lap 169, sending both of them spinning out of control.
The crash was so sudden that it managed to take out what seemed to be the majority of the field, causing the red flag to come out for 27 minutes.
Thankfully, no one was seriously injured in the crash.
