New Ferrari Rollercoaster Is Europe’s Tallest And Fastest

If you’ve watched the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit, you may have seen the Ferrari World theme park, which includes the ride ‘Formula Rossa’ – the world’s fastest rollercoaster.
Well, at the PortAventura World theme park at Salou in southern Catalonia, Spain, Ferrari has built its second park – Ferrari Land – and it’s just opened its doors.
Filled with Ferrari experiences and rides, the park looks to draw in more fans (and money) for what is now possibly the most recognisable motoring brand in the world.
But included is an attraction called Red Force, which has taken the records for Europe’s fastest and tallest rollercoaster.
The F1 car-shaped carriages get up to 111mph in roughly five seconds as well as the dizzying height of 112 metres – mightily impressive.
The whole ride is only 880 metres long, but we’re guessing the punchy acceleration that is similar to a Formula One car is an experience in itself. Plus, the ride’s in sunny Spain, so what’s not to like?
Pssst!
