The Porsche 911 GT2 RS just claimed a Nurburgring record – and it’s a quick one!
We always knew the latest Porsche 911 GT2 RS was going to be a fast car.
Here are the headline stats: 690bhp and 750Nm of torque from the turbocharged 3.8-litre flat-six, a 0-60mph time of 2.7 seconds and a 211mph top speed.
In short, it’s the most powerful street-legal 911 of all time.
On September 20, it also became the fastest road-approved sports car to lap the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife.
With a time of six minutes and 47.3 seconds, the GT2 RS has toppled the likes of the Radical SR8LM and Lamborghini Huracan Performante – which set respective times of six minutes 48 seconds and six minutes 52.01 seconds.
It’s also nearly 10 seconds faster than the Porsche 918 Sypder hypercar, which managed a time of six minutes 57 seconds.
One thing’s for sure: we can’t wait to get our hands on the keys to the GT2 RS. Pretty please, Porsche?
