Prankster Takes The ‘P’ With Phallic Meme In UPS’s Grand Prix Logo

So, yesterday we talked about Stick Shift – the “autoerotic night-driving game about pleasuring a gay car” (their words, not ours). Today, we bring you news of a phallic-related embarrassment for UPS.

The package delivery firm used its Facebook page to proudly unveil a mosaic version of its logo to be used on a Ferrari SF 15-T taking part in the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai this weekend.

UPS had invited its FB fans to send in photos to be used as “tiles”, and closer examination of the logo revealed that unfortunately it had been “Shanghai-ed” by a prankster, with – and there’s really no delicate way of saying this – a “dick butt” meme*  slipping past quality control, ending up to the right immediately above the “p”. Unsurprisingly, Facebook removed the post – but not before we were able to get a screen grab of it! We’ve highlighted it below:

Well, when you’ve got something with “Prix” in the title you’re just asking for trouble…

UPS subsequently updated its FB page, thanking “our social community for bringing to our attention the inappropriate image” and showing a new version of the mosaic logo with the offending tile replaced:

*Here’s the education bit: The “dick butt” meme dates back to 2006, originating as a character in a webcomic and going on to feature in multi-pane image macros, videos and GIFs. So now you know.
