Russian roads seem to be doubling as runways – with limited success…
Sometimes, life simply doesn’t make sense.
It’s happened to us all. Remember when you got told off even though it was your scoundrel of a little sibling who stole the last custard cream? The day that rain started to fall every time you took your jacket off? Or maybe that time you pulled over at the side of the road and got rear-ended by a light aircraft?
OK, so perhaps that last one is a little less common, but it happens, and here’s the proof.

This bizarre clip shows an aeroplane trying to take off on a road and ultimately ploughing into the back of a stationary van while just about airborne. A pedestrian, who may have been the owner of the van, dived away from the accident and got back up immediately as if nothing had happened.
Quite how the plane got to the point of being on the road is a mystery lost to the wonders of Russian home video, but fortunately it seems as though no one was in the van at the time of the impact.
There’s no news on the condition of the pilot, but we hope they made it out unscathed.
