Super Mario Fixes Old Land Rover With A Potato, Doesn’t Get Extra Life
Remember the days when you could fix your car with a hammer, piece of string and some stockings?
No, we don’t either.
But we’re pretty sure the owner of the 1960’s Land Rover that enlisted the help of Super Mario The AA Man does.
Stuck with a non-functioning old Land Rover (yes, we know, shock), yellow-van-driving, car-fixing expert Super Mario Papademetriou diagnosed a broken condenser.
Some 12-miles from the nearest garage his first attempt at repair with some tin foil and silicone failed to do the trick, so he came up with a genius solution…
An actual po-ta-to from out of the ground.
Mario explained: “As the vehicle was on a farm, there were a lot of vegetables around, so I thought I’d try wiring up a potato with a couple of screws to act as a condenser.”
Who thinks about wiring a potato into a car other than this guy?
I’m-Definitely-Not-Doc-Brown added: “Amazingly, it started instantly, so I followed the member to the garage and he said the vehicle had never driven so well!”
So next time your car doesn’t start, remember potatoes are the answer. Lots and lots of potatoes.
