Take your Ford Focus RS sideways with the new ‘Drift Stick’

Own a Ford Focus RS and fancy a go at some rally-style slides? Ford’s latest toy may just be what you need.

Introducing the aptly named Drift Stick — an add-on handbrake developed in conjunction with certified hoon, Ken Block.

It’s available for Focus RS owners to buy from Ford Performance and is designed specially for the hot hatch. As the handbrake system on the standard vehicle is electronic, the lever can simply be connected to the car’s computer systems without any welding or mechanical changes.

The ‘Drift Stick’ works by locking both rear wheels, which will put the car very, very sideways at speed — as Ken Block has so kindly demonstrated in a video.

Want one? Well, it’s only available in the United States and Canada for $999 — but we’re sure it won’t be too hard to import one.

Pssst!
