Watch as Ken Block takes on the legendary Pikes Peak Hillclimb
Block is back – and this time he’s got a literal mountain to climb.
Stunt driving icon Ken Block has released a new video, entitled ‘Ken Block’s Climbkhana’. The video features his custom-built, twin-turbocharged 1,300+bhp 1965 Ford Mustang taking on the legendary Pikes Peak Hillclimb: a famous ribbon of tarmac draped across the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
In the video, we see the Mustang – lovingly known as the Hoonicorn RTR V2 – pushed to the ragged edge by Block, who performs his usual array of impossibly angled slides, donuts and tricks.
Block became a stunt driving icon with his ‘Gymkhana’ videos, in which he took his various rally cars around the world on beautifully shot missions through cities, race circuits and airfields. In recent years, as Block transitioned from a stage rally driver to a Rallycross racer, Gymkhana has also evolved, with the venues and vehicles becoming more demanding with each new video.
And following this latest escapade on one of the world’s most famous roads, we have to question what Block is going to do next – will he ever be able to top this epic display? Let us know what else Block should attempt in his mad Mustang over on our Twitter page!
