Porsche Cayman GT4 Wiped Out On Nürburgring

For many car enthusiasts, the Nürburgring is a special place. Driving along its many twists and turns is something that simply must be experienced.

Unfortunately, driving on a race track is also dangerous. And when you add a multitude of blind crests, off-camber corners and drivers who think they know the 13-mile course off by heart because they played it on their Xbox a few times, you have a recipe for crashes.

Sometimes, though, no matter how careful you are, fate just wants to damage your ride. This video is the perfect example of that.

It all starts with a BMW E30-generation 3-Series dropping fluids on the entrance to a corner. As the unknown liquid drops on the track, the tyres lose grip and the car spins out. The next car on the scene is a Cayman and no one has a chance to warn the driver to slow down.

They hit the slippery patch of track and career straight for the wall, tagging the BMW in the process. The GT4 takes some pretty heavy damage, but you’ve really got to feel for the BMW driver. Unless they have insurance – which is very unlikely for people driving on the Nürburgring – they’ll be responsible for not only the damage to their own car but also the damage to the barrier and the Porsche.
